Increase In Water Rates

Notice
The Village of Industry will be looking at increasing the water rates in the near future. We understand that an increase in rates is never popular, however for several reasons this is a necessary step.

The Village purchases our water supply from West Prairie Co-Op and that fee has increased effective May 1, 2022. This cost is not being passed on to the Village residents at this time; however, that will be a necessary step in the future.

The Village is also preparing for a significant infrastructure project. The current elevated water storage tank is 69 years old and is in poor condition with numerous repair and safety upgrades needed. The current water rates are $20 for the first 3,000 gallons and then $3.60 per thousand thereafter. These rates have been in place since 2010 with no increases.

We, as the Village Board of Trustees, want the residents of Industry to be informed and aware of changes that may be happening soon. Please attend our next board meeting (June 2nd) or contact any Trustee if you have questions.

A list of Trustees can be found on our website or Facebook page under the about section.
